What Makes Us Special?

Created in 1881 by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, HEC Paris aims to train high-potential individuals, capable of becoming architects of a responsible world. What makes HEC unique is its conviction shared by the HEC Community: knowledge determines the freedom and entrepreneurship required for a better world. This conviction is affirmed with our motto, “The more you know, the more you dare.

This mission is based on two pillars: a rigorous research environment and close connections to the corporate world. The combination of high-quality research, underlying the pedagogical innovation at HEC Paris, and close corporate connections, gives the HEC community the necessary tools and background to challenge established rules and to invent the new social and economic paradigms of tomorrow’s world, rather than simply reproduce them.

What to Expect on Campus

Students at HEC Paris can expect to immerse themselves in a uniquely international and verdant campus environment. With over 135 nationalities represented on site, the campus fosters a diverse community, enhanced by its expansive 340 acres of forests and a lake. This setting is designed to be an ideal space for personal and professional growth, encouraging students to discover their passions, develop leadership skills, advance their careers, and cultivate a positive impact on the world.

The campus facilities are specifically tailored to support collaborative learning, with spaces promoting project-based work and group activities. Beyond academics, students have access to a wide array of sports facilities, including outdoor fields, a gymnasium, fitness room, climbing wall, and dedicated spaces for martial arts. The campus also offers recreational options like billiards and table football, ensuring a well-rounded student experience that encourages lasting connections and unforgettable memories.

Living in the city

HEC became the first French Business School to create a real campus outside of Paris some 15 miles from Notre-Dame. The HEC campus is located in Jouy-en-Josas, a suburban town on the south-west side of Paris, close to Versailles.

A public bus is available several times a day from campus to the Jouy-en-Josas train station, and the HEC SAVAC shuttle service to and from stations in Massy-Palaiseau, Versailles and Paris. Trains to and from Paris take approximately 45 minutes. Check the intranet page for the interactive train network map and bus schedules.

CEMS Club Paris

Welcome to the CEMS Club of HEC Paris! This group of highly motivated students has been formed with the primary objective of upholding the motto of HEC, in conjunction with integrating the CEMS value in every undertaking. The conviction shared by the HEC Community that knowledge determines the freedom & entrepreneurship required for a better world, working in tandem with the CEMS vision to create a global community resonates perfectly to create the leaders of tomorrow here at HEC Paris.

The CEMS Club Paris keenly works toward fulfilling these goals, focusing on the CEMS cohort at HEC to organize various social, corporate and alumni events to create an inclusive semester experience for everyone in the cohort, bond people from different backgrounds and cultures, provide grounds and environment for networking and help boosting individual’s professional potential as well as to promote such CEMS values as global leadership, sustainability, and equality.
