Exploring Global Strategy in a Fragmenting World: Highlights from the DACH Forum at the University of Cologne

From May 30th to June 2nd, the University of Cologne hosted the DACH Forum, which is one of the regional conferences of the CEMS Program. The four-day event focused its discussions on the theme of " Global Strategy in a Fragmenting World”.

CEMSies from 15 universities gathered together at the event in Cologne, which encompassed a diverse range of activities, such as lectures from experts in the economic, political and business fields, company introductions, corporate case studies and networking sessions. Participants could further engage with our Corporate Partners at the Forum’s flagship event, the Speed Recruiting, where 152 speed interviews took place.

CEMSies not only sharpened their interview and case solving skills, but also had the chance to engage with each other during our social activities, such as the pub sports event held in the local CEMS Club’s clubhouse and our closing gala dinner.

“Attending the CEMS DACH Forum was a memorable experience filled with thought-provoking discussions, unforgettable social events, and personal growth. It was a great mix of knowledge, fun, and connection. I expanded my horizons, met exceptional individuals, and left feeling motivated to make a difference!” - Lucie Spohn (WU/IVEY 2023)

We would like to thank all our Corporate Partners, who played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s exceptional standards. Our Corporate Partners this year were: AlphaSights, Barilla, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Deichmann, DHL Consulting, Henkel, Hilti, Roboyo, Simon Kucher and zeb.
