What is the CEMS Run for Peace?
The CEMS Run for Peace is a fundraising event organized by CEMS Club Barcelona to collect money for people in Ukraine.
Why?
Because we as a global community want to show unity in supporting peace for Ukraine.
What is our goal?
The goal is to run the 3.291 kilometers from Barcelona to Kyiv (via Vienna and Warsaw) within one month.
Who can donate?
CEMSies, CEMS Alumni, faculty and employees of CPs will have the possibility to contribute kilometers and to make donations.
Who participates in the challenge?
Besides CEMS Club Barcelona, the CEMS Club Vienna and the CEMS Club Warsaw will also join the challenge.
Which organization will receive the donations?
The donations will go to the crisis response in Ukraine fund of CARE International, an NGO and a Social Partner of CEMS. With its crisis response in Ukraine, CARE is trying to reach 4 million people with aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance.
When does the event take place?
19th of April until 22nd of May 2022
Where does the event take place?
Everywhere! It doesn’t matter where participants are. All you need to contribute is a phone with the App Strava installed to track their kilometers.
