CEMS APAC VCF

The first edition of the CEMS APAC Virtual Career Fair took place on March 11-20, 2020. This career fair was a 10-day recruitment and learning event on an online web platform, through a job-matching process.

This event intended to create interaction and engage CEMS students & alumni from leading business schools around the world with top recruiters from the Asia-Pacific region.

During this exclusive opportunity, CEMS students and alumni who graduated in the past 2 years could connect with CEMS Corporate Partners and make a career move in the APAC region with any of the 7 CEMS Corporate Partners attending the Career Fair, including ABB, Coloplast, DHL Consulting, Hilti, McKinsey & Company, Metro and Richemont. Over 300 applications were submitted from all participants to recruiters who had advertised various positions and vacancies located in the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, webinars from ABB, Hilti and Richemont were set up and broadcasted to the audience. The speakers included recruiters, graduates and CEMS Alumni from Corporate Partners who kindly shared unique insights about business, strategy, recruitment and career opportunities in Asia-Pacific. This was also an occasion for participants to have direct interaction with Corporate Partners and ask questions and tips for entering the job market in the region.

Furthermore, the Student Board organised a virtual panel discussion with three alumni working in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore. The speakers shared their insights on topics such as digitalization, business confidence, sustainability and answered many questions about working and living in the APAC region as a CEMS Alumni.

The APAC Virtual Career Fair provided a valuable opportunity into the continuously growing recruitment and business markets that the region hold and enabled students and alumni to connect much more actively with companies from the APAC region.
