Description

The Leadership Summit Brazil 2011 is a gathering of Brazilian leaders in Politics, Business and Academia to debate among each other on Brazil’s economic development. What’s new about this summit is that it offers a window into an emerging market to the western world. The summit is an “online event” www.lsbrazil.com that interacts with the students from the world’s leading Business Schools from +30 countries. Therefore, the actual debate with the guests happens in multiple cities at the same time.

Note

DETAILS:
Brazil, the emerging market of Latin America has experienced a strong economic development in the last decade. A successful implementation of Fiscal and Macro

Economic Policies have brought institutional stability.

Social economic policies have dramatically increased welfare with a higher standard of living for most Brazilians today. At the same time, Brazil’s financial system is advancing with the successes of Novo Mercado on Bovespa Sao Paulo stock exchange. Brazil offered the third largest IPO market in 2007 and now in the aftermath of the financial crisis firms are seeking once again new opportunities abroad. This is very much noticeable in Brazil, as daily events depict a Brazilian playing field with surges of corporations that are opening branches and offices in the capital and in the larger cities. However, despite all of this, the international community is insufficiently aware of how and where to proceed in this emerging market. This poses an interesting opportunity for debate.
