Leadership Summit Brazil "window to the emerging market" intended to create a global conversation and engage students from leading business schools around the world simultaneously in this summit. The LSB Webcast enabled students to interact with the Brazilian leaders by asking questions through video-Skype calls, Facebook and Twitter. Through CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education and U.S. Universities, Leadership Summit Brazil “interaction rooms” were set up in faculties of over 50 universities from more than 30 countries.
Leadership Summit Brazil took place on 29 September 2011 and was broadcast via webcast at www.lsbrazil.com
Unique insight into an emerging market
The event was a gathering of Brazilian leaders (including Petrobras, Shell, Credit Suisse, BTG Pactual, Cosan, Odebrecht and many more) who gave unique insight into the emerging market: Brazil. The leaders debated with each other in four English-spoken panels: Brazil's public sector, financial industry, energy sector and entrepreneurship. These four panel discussions highlighted the key issues of modern day Brazil.
Strengthening ties worldwide
CEMS Clubs were able to register their club well in advance via the “register association button” at the webcast: www.lsbrazil.com. They had the opportunity to ask questions directly to these Brazilian leaders, from any location in the world). Once the interaction room was set up on the day of Leadership Summit Brazil, CEMS Students could earn Skill Seminar points awarded by FGV-EAESP Brazil if they attended the Summit at the Interaction Room at their University.
Leadership Summit Brazil provided a valuable window into an emerging market like Brazil, set a new tone to such debates by enabling students to participate much more actively, and also strengthened the links between leading business schools worldwide through a live interactive event.
